Disassembled NTN angular contact ball bearing cleaning and maintenance precautions

1. The assembly site should be as clean as possible and free of dust.
2. To avoid contamination of the bearings with dust, contaminants and moisture - the contaminants have an adverse effect on the operation and service life of the angular contact ball bearings.
3. Check the mating faces of the housing bore and the shaft: geometry and dimensional accuracy and cleanliness.
4. Apply a little oil or a little grease to the mating surface of the bearing ring.
5. Make sure that the shaft and housing bore have a 10°-15 degree guide chamfer.
6. Do not overcool the bearing: the moisture generated by condensation can cause the bearing surface of the bearing and the bearing to rust.
7. After installation: Fill the NTN bearing with lubricant and check that the angular contact ball bearing configuration is working properly.
